LATEST | Ilya Mikheyev's agent issues worrying statement: Still no timeline
Ilya Mikheyev has been out of business for a while, and when it was known that the Canucks had delayed his surgery because of their slim playoffs chances, everybody was rattled.
NO TIMELINE ON THE CANUCKS' WINGER
The initial thought was to have Mikheyev ready for the training camp. The team's camp is now ending, and Mikheyev is nowhere near ready to be a full participant.
The team failed to issue an explanatory statement on the winger and Mikheyev's agent, Dan Milstein, took it to Twitter to furnish an explanation for this issue:
''Re: Ilya Mikheyev #Canucks Good evening, I wanted to clear up Ilya Mikheyev's injury situation in Vancouver. Every player heals differently. He's been working very hard to get ready, just needs a bit more time and then will be back in the lineup. The Canucks have been great in working with Ilya during his surgery and rehabilitation. I know he soon will be ready and hungry to play. #WeAreGoldStar!''
The Canucks issued an official statement confirming their opening night roster and everybody couldn't help but notice the winger's absence. It went from, being ready for training camp, to won't be taking part in any exhibition games, to now won't even be on the opening night roster. Hopefully, the Canucks can have their $4.5M winger back soon.
