Rick Tocchet benched J.T. Miller for the end of the second period after Miller took three penalties.

The benching only lasted in the second period as Miller went on to play in the 3rd and scored the 4-2 goal to give the Canucks insurance early in the 3rd period.

Tocchet aimed to cool down a frustrated Miller.

Tocchet says, "I felt he needed to sit for 4 minutes. It's accountability..."

Miller says, "I was pretty hot and took some bad penalties...it was just letting me cool off for the last couple of minutes of the 2nd period..."

Tocchet says that they talked about it and ended up with both of them apologizing to each other.

The Canucks beat the Predators 5-2 and now head to San Jose to face the Sharks.
