LATEST | Rick Tocchet points out what went wrong in his post-interview
The Canucks lost to the Maple Leafs and they clearly weren't matching the opposing team's will to win.
TOCCHET POINTS OUT WHAT WAS LACKING
Tocchet pointed out right at the beginning of his interview that the team lack the k*ller instinct and that Toronto were clearly way more desperate to win:
"Last few games, there's pockets of the game that teams are outworking us. We've got to play desperate hockey too. We have to match the level of the opponent."
Obviously, the Canucks were out of fashion tonight as they surrendered an unsual 5 goals against. Against a team as offensively strong, with a well-oiled power play, it's the type of things that can happen. However, the Canucks were not at the Leafs level of intensity tonight.
