RUTHERFORD AND CROSBY STILL VERY CLOSE

The Canucks president revealed that he thought about Crosby all the time, and also mentionned that the two are still very closed. Obviously, Rutherford is still a huge Crosby fan:

"He's going to be a dominant player for many more years."

"I think about him all the time."

CANUCKS PREPARING THE FIELD TO LURE CROSBY IN PITTSBURGH?

The existing relationship between the two and the current state of the Canucks suggests that, not only are the Canucks going after Crosby if he makes it to free agency, but they could be high on his list. Known to be an effective leader and winner, Crosby will be looking at team's that could give him a chance at another cup and the Canucks may be it.

Crosby, 36, plays has good as he's ever been, after he collected 95 points last year the future hall of famer still plays at a point-per-game ratio with 41 in 39 on pace for 86 on the season. His contract will end by the end of the 2024-2025 campaign, should the Canucks be going after him?
