LATEST | Tocchet gives an update on Carson Soucy and Tyler Myers
The Canucks made the announcement earlier today, Akito Hirose was called up to the big leagues. This roster move is another way of saying that the Canucks will be a man short moving forward.
TOCCHET UPDATES ON THE INJURIES
Carson Soucy left the game early in Montreal, the veteran blocked a shot and didn't come back into the game. Tocchet revealed that Soucy was considered day-to-day, but that he would not likely be playing the team's game on Wednesday against the Islanders.
For Tyler Myers, the veteran did come back to finish the game. However, the big format Defenseman was granted an extra day to recover. Tocchet believes he'll be back in time for tomorrow.
In the meantime, Tocchet played with his pairings a little. Quinn Hughes and Filip Hronek were matched together, Ian Cole and Noah Juulsen made the second pair, while Akito Hirose was paired with Mark Friedman.
The Canucks will be looking to improve their present 11-3-1 record. Only the Golden Knights have been better in the Western Conference with a 12-2-1 record.
