LATEST | Tocchet issues his comments on the Canucks' last win and it highlights the team's true identity
The Canucks came up big on Saturday night and won a hard-fought match to the Caroline Hurricanes. One of the most complete efforts we'd seen from the team thus far this season; not only was the team's head coach, Rick Tocchet, pleased with the efforts, but he stated that this win was a perfect example of this team's identity.
Tocchet gave a post-game interview, and he marked the importance of long home stretch and how much good it did on the team. Not only was the team's pilot pleased with the efforts, but he highlighted how it defined the team and how he wanted things to go. Furthermore:
"That is unselfish. That's Canucks hockey. That's putting your teammate in the right situation...We gave our teammates better chances on the ice with fresher guys."
🗣 Coach Tocchet on the #Canucks playing quick, short shifts last night against the Hurricanes.
The Canucks will be welcoming the NHL's leading scorer Nikita Kucherov and his squad, the Lightning, on Tuesday and the Panthers on Thursday before hitting the road. Hopefully, we get more of these performances, and the Canucks keep on establishing their dominance in the Western Conference.
