Eddie Lack made his NHL debut with the Canucks in 2013-2014. The Canucks still had, at that point, loads of veteran from their deep cup run in 2011. There's always stories flying around about the weird things the veterans have rookies do to initiate them or to introduce them to the team.

Lack was asked earlier whether or not he had dirt' on Jannik Hansen and the former goaltender told quite the story about the treatment he received from his rookie days. Hansen seated by Lack in the team's locker room and the veteran had asked the young Lack to cover every other NHL games and report on the scores and any Danish player that had managed a point, here's the clip:

From there, Lack did not end up having the career he was meant to, despite showing excellent numbers during his days with the Canucks. His career took a hit when he joined the Hurricanes. In total, Lack disputed 144 NHL games over the span of 7 seasons, 82 of them being with the Canucks.

Lack was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes for a pick that ended up being Guillaume Brisebois.
