Canucks head coach, Rick Tocchet, spoke to the media immediately after the Canucks 2-1 preseason loss to the Oilers. The Canucks had a mixed line-up of NHL regulars and young players.
Among those NHL regulars are some of the acquisitions that the Canucks made in the off-season. The Canucks had Casey Desmith, Teddy Blueger and Carson Soucy in the line-up on Wednesday.
Tocchet really liked Blueger's game, saying "...Teddy played a really good game tonight. He was everywhere, that's why we got him...it's an exhibition game but he played like it was a regular season game..."
Tocchet was asked about Desmith and said "...I remember him in Pittsburgh...Sometimes, he wouldn't play in two weeks...and he'd come in and play really well...he looks big..."
The Canucks now have a two-day break before facing off with the Oilers once again in the preseason.
