After what seemed to be back and fourth decision the last couple of weeks, Vancouver Canucks Captain Quinn Hughes has unfortunately withdrawn from playing for Team U.S.A at this years inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off.

Just earlier today, it was announced by NHL insider Elliotte Friedman that Quinn Hughes was having a very difficult time time making the decision if he was going to play or not, he even used the term "agonizing".
«It's his call, I think the Canucks are leaving this up to him,» Friedman reported. «I've heard he's just agonizing over it I think he feels the pressure, I think he wants to play for Team USA.

Vancouver Canucks make announcement regarding Quinn Hughes not playing for Team U.S.A

Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin announced today that after a long and difficult decision, Captain Quinn Highes has decided not to play in the highly anticipated best-on-best tournament.
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that D Quinn Hughes will not play for the United States at the 4 Nations Face-Off.
What is most likely going to be Quinn Hughes' second consecutive Norris Trophy winning season as the leagues best defenseman, not having on Team USA is a massive hit to their blue line.
It was quickly announced that Ottawa Senators d-man Jake Sanderson will replace him.
Jake Sanderson has been added to the Team USA 🇺🇸 #4Nations roster as an injury replacement, taking the spot vacated by Quinn Hughes.
The tournament officially starts when Team Canada will face-off against Sweden at the Bell Centre on Wednesday 8 p.m. ET, and the United States facing Finland at the Bell Centre on Thursday at 8 pm ET.
