"You Never Know" - J.T. Millers availability up in the air as Rick Tocchet weighs in on potential injury

Just 9 seconds into the contest against the Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks centerman and star J.T. Miller seemed to have suffered a minor wrist injury taking a faceoff. Now, head coach Rick Tocchet is not sure if he play next game.

Canucks center JT Miller took 2 face-offs tonight vs. Flyers, one after the opening drop. Rick Tocchet: "He's dealing with some stuff. We'll figure it out over the next couple days but we didn't want him to take draws." Said he's hopeful Miller can play Tuesday vs. Chicago.

J.T. Miller is the heart and soul of the Vancouver Canucks right now, and to have him miss games will be a major issue. Fans were worried at the beginning of the first period when Miller went down the tunnel with a wrist injury after a faceoff. Although he returned tot he gamer and played well, he only ended up taking two faceoffs for the wrest of the game.

Head coach Rick Tocchet comments on J.T. Miller's injury

When Tocchet was asked in the post game press conference if Miller will be ready to play on Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks, he seemed cautious in his answer as he did not want to guarantee anything.

I expect it, but you never know, we will see how he is. He will need a couple of days off to rest it and see where it goes.

It is good news that he expects Miller to be in the lineup, but clearly, he is being uncertain how serious the injury is, and by giving him a couple of days off of, they will have a better understand of his ability to move forward in games.
