Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli revealed today what the Vancouver Canucks' contract offer was to pending unrestricted free agent Brock Boeser.

The Vancouver Canucks are still weighing their options with Brock Boeser, as Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported that the team prefers a five-year deal and it looks like that's what they offered to the 28-year-old recently.

Vancouver Canucks' contract offer to Brock Boeser revealed

In an updated version of his trade targets board on Friday, Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff revealed that the Vancouver Canucks have offered Brock Boeser a five-year contract worth $40 million ($8 million AAV).
Seravalli added that Brock Boeser is looking for more term and that things are expected to heat up surrounding him over the next week leading up to the trade deadline.
"The Canucks put a 5-year, $40 million offer on the table, but Boeser is looking for more term in this slow-moving game of 'chicken.' Expect it to heat up this week. The Canucks essentially dared him to go out and replicate his 40-goal season. He's on track for 28 with seven games missed due to injury, which is close to his career average." Seravalli said.

Boeser, a native of Burnsville, Minnesota would be an intriguing option on the trade market for a lot of contending teams around the National Hockey League as he can play a top-six role, on the power play and has proven himself in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with 23 points in 29 games.
There's no doubt that Vancouver will continue to try to lock up Brock Boeser over the next seven days before the 12 pm PT trade deadline on March 7th, but if they do opt to move him, there won't be a shortage of teams interested, which could lead to a bidding war and a big return for Patrik Allvin.
In 52 games this season with the Canucks, Boeser has put up 36 points (18 goals, 18 assists), 36 penalty minutes and is a minus-18.
It's going to be interesting to watch Brock Boeser's situation before next Friday and whether or not the Vancouver Canucks will increase their contract offer to him before shifting their focus fully to a potential trade.
