The former play by play voice of the Canucks, Jim Hughson, was announced as an inductee as a media member.
The 68 year old now retired broadcaster started his career on Canucks radio broadcasts, and after a brief stint working national broadcasts in 1998 he returned to work Canucks local TV games.
Hughson eventually moved to national coverage with Hockey Night in Canada in 2008, and his voice is well known to EA Sports NHL players as the play by play voice of the game from 1997-2009.
A native of Fort St. John, Hughson announced his retirement from calling hockey games in 2021.
Alongside Hughson in the 2025 inductees is fellow broadcaster Ray Ferraro, but he's being inducted for his 1258 NHL regular-season games, 408 goals, and 898 points, ranking fourth, fifth and seventh among B.C born hockey players.
Ferraro, from Trail B.C, never played for the Canucks, but currently works as the Canucks TV Colour Analyst and his wife Cammi Granato is an assistant general manager for the team.
And perhaps the biggest named being inducted is Christine Sinclair, who played for Team Canada's Women's Senior Soccer team from 2000 to 2023, captaining Canada to one gold and two bronze medals.
Sinclair was named Canada's Player of the Year award 14 times during her career.
2025 inductees will be honoured at the Hall of Fame Induction gala in May.
