Over the last few years, Thatcher Demko has struggled to remain healthy, and now it seems like all these unresolved issues are haunting him.

The Canucks' star netminder is once again sidelined, and we can't catch a proper explanation, timeline or even a sniff of what might be going on for him. We only know that he's expected to return this year as Satiar Shah revealed the team's state of mind.

Once in 50 years of practice injury

'That's some alarming info that has been reported. It (playoff injury) was a rare fluke injury. One doctor explained that you could be in practice for 50 years and never see this injury.

The initial hope was that it wasn't very severe...The fact the conversation
has turned to he may not be ready for opening night makes you wonder if they pushed too hard, too fast, too soon. If not, and this is still lingering, I don't know if they can do anything about this injury. Sorry to be so vague.

If you had given me a million dollars to explain this injury, I wouldn't have done it. All I know is it's something to do with the back of his knee.''
