Insider makes a concerning revelation on Zadorov's future in Vancouver
Patrik Allvin added the big Russian defenceman at a meagre cost, knowing he could very well be out of Vancouver at the end of the season.
According to Frank Seravalli, Nikita Zadorov's tenure with the Vancouver Canucks will likely last just a partial season and a playoff run. The Daily FaceOff insider was on the Sekeres and Price show last week, discussing the likelihood of Nikita Zadorov returning to Vancouver.
Unlikely, in his opinion, but still a move the Canucks would make over and over again.
To give up a 3rd and a 5th... it's the right price, the right addition... you're perfectly comfortable at the end of that shaking hands and saying good luck, sir.
Seravalli says Zadorov will likely look at himself as a better skating Erik Gudbranson, who makes 4 million a year - and the cap is rising to boot. He says Zadorov making $5 million yearly on a 4-year deal wouldn't surprise him.
While he didn't count out a return to Vancouver, he believes the big defenceman was always seen as a rental.
As heard on Sekeres and Price:
