The Canucks are playing the Edmonton Oilers for the last pre-season game. As expected, Rick Tocchet will ice his 'A' lineup, but due to unknown reasons, he had to make a last minute adjustement.

As reported by Brendan Batchelor, Nils Aman wasn't scheduled to be on the lineup but was seen taking reps during the warm up as Conor Garland was nowhere to be seen.

Kiefer Sherwood will have the opportunity to play on the team's 3rd unite alongside Aatu Raty and Nils Hoglander. Nils Aman will be with Arshdeep Bains and Teddy Blueger on the team's 4th unit.

The Canucks will end their preparation for the season, as it officially starts on Wednesday the 9th.

Tough calls ahead for Rick Tocchet and Patrik Allvin

Tocchet and Allvin will have to make their finals cuts ahead of the season, Akito Hirose, Arshdeep Bains, Aatu Raty will know their fate soon enough. They've made very strong cases to remain with the big club, but the contractual situation will make it hard for the Canucks to keep them around.

We'll make sure to keep you posted on the latest updates on Conor Garland and his health. Hopefully, it's nothing serious and he'll be all set for the season opener on Wednesday the 9th.
