MAJOR | Jake Guentzel's fate in Pittsburgh confirmed: He's getting traded
Patrik Alvina and Jim Rutherford are highly active in the trade market. One of their top targets has been confirmed to be on the move, and the trade timeline has been determined.
Darren Dreger confirmed the excellent winger's fate earlier when he announced that the Penguins had determined that Wednesday would be the day Guentzel would be moved. According to Dreger, the Pens have clarified that they would be sticking to their price:
''Sources say the Penguins ahopeto have a trade in place for Jake Guentzel by tomorrow evening. Pittsburgh is open to quality over quantity in return but would like a 1st young NHL player, plus prospects. Flexibility comes in the calibre of prospect or roster player.'' According to the reports, if the Canucks intended on acquiring the two-time Stanley Cup winner, the cost would most likely have to include the team's 2025 1st Round Pick along with Nils Hoglander.
Guentzel being the biggest name on the market at this point, will probably be the activator of the trade market. Once he's dealt, numerous trades are going to unfold.
