MAJOR | NHL issues a statement on the Canucks: Milestone within reach
The Canucks will have the Kings for a visit, and a variety of milestones and achievements will be in play.
The team will have its first official opportunity to secure a playoff spot. If everything goes their way, they could add another phenomenal mark to their incredible season.
The Canucks will have the opportunity to be the first NHL team to make it to 100 points after only 72 games. Only one game shy of the Franchise record established back in 2010-2011, when the Canucks last made it to the Stanley Cup finals:
The Canucks (45-18-8, 98 points) can hit the 100-point mark in 72 games, one shy of the franchise's fastest pace (71 GP in 2010-11)
Currently showcasing a 45-18-8 record, it's a net improvement from the 38-37-7 they showcased last year. The Rick Tocchet effect surely went a long way for Vancouver.
