The newest forward of the Vancouver Canucks Filip Chytil opens up about being apart of the team, not holding back all the great things he has to say about the opportunity he is receiving.

The Vancouver Canucks made the bold move to still trade superstar J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers even though they knew the return would not be great, but to their surprise, Filip Chytil has really stepped up to the challenge with his new opportunity.

Filip Chytil says only amazing things about being the newest member of the Vancouver Canucks

When it was announced that Filip Chytil was the main trade piece coming back to the Canucks for J.T. Miller, by taking one glance at his career stats may not be what many Vancouver fans wanted to hear.
A quick glance at Chytil's career stats would back that same story. He'd never played more than 16 minutes per night or scored more than 45 points in a season during his seven-and-a-half years with the Rangers. Those numbers don't scream top-six. - Noah Strang

But, through the first 2 games with his new team, Chytil has been given a much bigger amount of responsibility and opportunity than ever before, and it appears he is running away with it.
Head coach Rick Tocchet clearly sees a lot out of the 25-year-old forward, giving him 2 straight games with 20 minutes of ice time, something he has not got once this season with the Rangers.
«There's definitely [another] level there,» continued Tocchet. «You can tell he wants to show there's another level, and as a coaching staff, we want to help him get there. He's got the characteristics of a guy that can be a 200-foot, tall, lanky centreman.»
After his first two appearances, Chytil has expressed only amazing things out of his first experiences with the team.
«When I arrived and I saw the setup we've got here, the locker room, and then the next day I saw all the guys and all the people around, it was so nice. Everyone welcomed me. From day one, they've been so nice to me, helping me so much. It's great. I really appreciate it from them.»

I was very happy that I could play that many minutes both games,» Chytil told Daily Hive in an exclusive interview. «In my career so far, I didn't play [as] many minutes like the last two games.»

«The more I'm playing, I feel more confident; I feel much better on the puck. It's been good, and hopefully, it's going to keep going like this.»

Being stuck with a limited role in the Big Apple, Chytil's arrival in Vancouver may not have been welcomed with an overwhelming amount of excitement but it is quickly changing with ever passing game.
Now that he is given the chance to be a center piece to this team, he isn't just embracing the role, he is thriving in it.
