When the Vancouver Canucks finally traded J.T Miller to put an end months of speculation, the hope was that it would also put an end to any ongoing locker room drama.
Frank Seravalli says Vancouver Canucks players don't like the deal
To end the month of January, the Vancouver Canucks finally put an end to the Elias Pettersson/J.T Miller drama by moving J.T Miller to the Rangers, effectively putting their faith in 26 year old Pettersson over the fiery Miller.
According to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli however, many players on the team don't think that was the correct move.
"A lot of players on Vancouver are very upset about the Miller trade, and that this wasn't the move they wanted," - Frank Seravalli
Whether the Canucks players are upset because they feel Pettersson should be the player to be moved, or that both forwards could ultimately work out their differences despite President Jim Rutherford publicly confirming an irreconcilable rift between the players, this could mean the locker room issues are far from over.
"I felt like for a long time that there was a solution here because everybody has worked on it, including the parties involved... But it only gets resolved for a short period of time and then it festers again and so it certainly appears like there's not a good solution that would keep this group together," Rutherford said.
J.T Miller meanwhile has gotten off to a hot start in New York, scoring 4 points in 3 games for the Rangers.
