Last week, the Vancouver Canucks were quite busy with a pair of trades and on Friday, Patrik Allvin has swung another one, moving a defenseman out of the organization.

With the addition of
Marcus Pettersson to the Vancouver Canucks organization, along with the strong play of rookie defenseman
Elias Pettersson lately, there isn't much room for a call-up from the Abbotsford Canucks these days.
Because of this, along with him falling in the depth chart, the Vancouver Canucks have completed a trade with the Predators this afternoon, sending defenseman
Mark Friedman to Nashville in exchange for future considerations.
"General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks have traded D Mark Friedman to the Nashville Predators for future considerations." the Canucks announced.
With the Nashville Predators organization, Mark Friedman will eventually have the opportunity to get minutes in the National Hockey League, but for now, he's heading to the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals, the team announced today.
Friedman will need to get back up to game speed in the AHL as he hasn't appeared in a game since Abbotsford's contest on January 19th against the San Jose Barracuda.
"🔄TRADE: We've acquired defenseman Mark Friedman from Vancouver for future considerations. Friedman will report to the @mkeadmirals." the Predators said.
Friedman, 29, joined the Vancouver Canucks in a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins back in October 2023 and has gone on to appear in 28 games for the big club in the NHL, recording one assist, 31 penalty minutes and had an even-rating.
