The Oilers found a way to push the series to its ultimatum. The Canucks had no answers for Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid's strong offensive outburst in a 5-1 loss.

Following the Canucks' loss, the NHL confirmed that this series' game seven would be taking place at the Rogers Arena, in Vancouver, on Monday the 20th. The stage has been set for a 9 p.m. ET start:

The start time of the potential Game 7, [] , of the Second Round series between the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks has been set for 9 p.m. ET on Monday, May 20, in Vancouver. The game would be televised on Sportsnet, CBC and TVA Sports in Canada. In the U.S., the game would be on ESPN.

The Oilers and the Canucks pushing the series to its very limit will also mark the first time that two Canadian teams meet in game seven with the stakes as high as they are. The last time it happened, both the Ottawa Senators and the Toronto Maple Leafs were considered to be playoff teams.

The Oilers-Canucks series will mark the first time two Canadian teams met in a Game 7 with a trip to the Conference Finals on the line since the 2002 Conference Semi-finals (TOR vs. OTT).
