New angle shows why the Oilers' second goal was disallowed
The Canucks are playing their most important game this season, and the stakes have never been as high.
The first period gave lieu to an intriguing exchange of offensive sequence that eventually led to the first ending in a 1-1 tie. In the dying seconds of the period, the Oilers managed to get the puck in the back of the net, but after reviewing the play, it was deemed that Connor McDavid had interfered with Arturs Silovs:
Oilers score in the final seconds of the first, but it was waved off for goaltender interference
Seeing that Connor McDavid even jumped before entering into contact with Silovs, this could've been considered assault, given that Elias Pettersson was given a similar non-sense penalty during game five.
