Quinn Hughes was featured in the results of two questions posed to nearly 700 players in the National Hockey League, which were: 'If you need to win one game, who is the defenceman you want on your team?' and 'Who is the best breakout passer in the game?'
For the question 'If you need to win one game, who is the defenceman you want on your team?', Quinn Hughes finished fourth with 4.04% of the vote. Cale Makar led the way at 56.38%, while Victor Hedman finished second with 10.50% of the vote and Roman Josi landed in the third spot at 4.52%.
Meanwhile, for the second question - 'Who is the best breakout passer in the game?', the Canucks defenceman finished second in voting at 10.62%, while Cale Makar took the top spot with 26.56% of the vote.
The most surprising thing to come out of this year's NHLPA Player Poll is that Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko didn't finish in the top-five in voting for the question 'If you need to win one game, who is the goalie you want on your team?' Andrei Vasilevskiy, Igor Shesterkin, Ilya Sorokin, Connor Hellebuyck and Juuse Saros took the top five spots, in that order. Meanwhile 30.52% of the players voted for other goaltenders and while it's not known who those netminders are, it's safe to say that Demko received at least a handful of the votes.
