During the first weekend of November, several former Vancouver Canucks and other National Hockey League alumni will be appearing in a charity hockey tournament in Surrey.

2024 marks the sixth year for the CAN Pro-Am, with money raised going towards the Canucks Autism Network and for this year's tournament, fans in attendance will be treated to watching a number of former Vancouver Canucks facing off and playing with teams who pay a donation to participate in the weekend.

Among those set to hit the ice at North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex starting on November 2nd is Ryan Kesler, Chris Higgins, Jannik Hansen and Kirk McLean, who will be joined by other members of the NHL alumni.

Those aren't the only former Canucks either that fans will be able to see in action as according to the tournament's website, Eddie Lack, Matt Cooke, Brad May, Mason Raymond, Derek Roy, Derek Dorsett, Cody Hodgson, Frankie Corrado, Dave Babysh, Cliff Ronning and Geoff Courtnall will all be participating.

Each team will have a former Vancouver Canuck or NHL alumni member on their roster through a draft that will take place on November 1st. Action kicks off on November 2nd at 9:30 am PT, with the final contest, an All-Star game coming on November 3rd at 1:15 pm PT. All participating teams will play three games over the two days.

Charity hockey tournaments are great for both fans and those who are able to participate. For the CAN Pro-Am for example, the money is going to an amazing cause, while participating players get to live out a dream and play on a team with and against former Vancouver Canucks and National Hockey League alumni. All in all, it's a win-win for everyone involved and hopefully, a ton of money will be raised for Canucks Autism Network.
