Amidst all of the trade talks and rumors that surround Vancouver Canucks forwards JT Miller and Elias Pettersson, if Ep40 were to get traded to the Montreal Canadians, there are only two players that would make the deal actually happen.
Return package from the Montreal Canadiens Revealed in trade for Vancouver Canucks star Elias Pettersson.
The ideal situation for the Vancouver Canucks is to have both Pettersson and Miller stay with the team, but after todays
interview with President Jim Rutherford, it is clear that outcome is not realistic.
"I felt like for a long time that there was a solution here because everybody has worked on it, including the parties involved. But it only gets resolved for a short period of time and then it festers again and so it appears like there's not a good solution that would keep this group together." Rutherford said.
Now, it is important to note that every General Manager in the NHL are making calls to inquire about these two forwards, they would be crazy not too.
What appears to be the ask from the Canucks is to get a centre and a defenseman in return for Pettersson.
The trade proposal that is a bultong block other team like the Canadiens can use to see what makes sense would be that of the Buffalo Sabres'
Dylan Cozens and d-man
Bowen Byram.
With this in mind, the two players from the Habs that would make a realistic return have been revealed.

The only issue is that Kent Hughes would not even entertain that idea, but in reality why wouldn't he?
