The Canucks and the Oilers disputed an emotional tilt in game three, but the Silovs held tight and eventually helped his team capture the win.

At the end of the game, a scrum ensued by Arturs Silovs' net and resulted in a number of altercations. The Oilers captain Connor McDavid was at center of everything. The 97 was pushed forward after a cross check that came from Nikita Zadorov. Zadorov was fined for his actions.

The second cross check came for Carson Soucy who proceeded to hit Connor McDavid's head as he was falling down. Per the league announcement, Soucy did have a hearing and the NHL's player safety department finally came through with their decision.

Vancouver's Carson Soucy has been suspended for one playoff game for cross-checking Edmonton's Connor McDavid.

The Canucks defenceman was given the opportunity to comment on the events.

Carson Soucy on the crosscheck: it was an unfortunate incident. There was no intention to hit him that high.

Rick Tocchet also adressed the occurence. The pilot delivered his thoughts on the events:

Rick Tocchet: It's a scrum. Z got cross checked by Hyman after. I think there's a couple of incidents that George (Parros) and them are looking at right now. #Canucks@Sportsnet650
