It's time for exhibition games, but some rivalries are just as big during the pre-season matchups as they are during the regular season. For the Canucks, game one against the Kraken only confirmed the natural rivalry.

Tyler Myers was among the veteran that led the Canucks' young guns through their first NHL experience but also led them to Victory. The veteran 57 was true to himself and ensured that his haters down in Seattle remembered him.

Myers has a relationship with Kraken's fans, given that he is on the hunt whenever he plays the Kraken. The Chaos Giraffe struck once more in the club's first pre-season game and ensured everybody would remember. The Kraken reporter, Ian Furness, was on Donnie and Dhali to complain about Myers' play:

Myers and his new contract: Canucks turning over a new leaf

Over the summer, Patrik Allvin tendered a new contract offer to Myers, which he gladly accepted. Now carrying a $3M contract through the next three years, Myers will be playing a contract that shows his true value.

Myers registered his best personal season as a Canucks in 2023-2024. The giant format defenceman used contract year to register 29 points through 77 games as he terrorized some of the other team's forwards. Looking at this clip, it doesn't look like Myers is interested in stopping anytime soon. With Zadorov gone, the Canucks could definitely use a big, mean defenceman; Myers definitely has the size to do that, can he be mean enough?

After is first contract was highlighted as one of the worst contract in team history; Do you believe the Canucks made a good deal by signing him for an additional three years at a $3M cap hit?
