The Vancouver Canucks have announced a roster move ahead of Saturday's game where they've demoted a recently acquired defenseman to the American Hockey League.

Over the last week, the Vancouver Canucks have been quite busy on the trade front, with one of their deals sending star forward J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers, while acquiring Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini and a first-round pick.

Vancouver Canucks demote recently acquired defenseman to the AHL

Ahead of tonight's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, which is their final one before the 4 Nations Face-Off break, the Vancouver Canucks announced a roster move involving defenseman Victor Mancini.
In a post on social media this afternoon, the Vancouver Canucks announced that they've assigned Victor Mancini to the American Hockey League's Abbotsford Canucks, while calling up Swedish forward Linus Karlsson.
"General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that D Victor Mancini has been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL) and F Linus Karlsson has been recalled from Abbotsford." the Canucks said.
Victor Mancini has been with the Vancouver Canucks organization for a little over a week now and surprisingly, this isn't the first roster move he's been apart of, after being assigned to the AHL back on February 2nd, however, he hasn't appeared in any games for either Vancouver or Abbotsford just yet.
In 15 games this season for the New York Rangers, Mancini had five points (one goal, four assists), while adding ten points in 23 games for their AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack.
As for Linus Karlsson, he's been up and down between the American Hockey League and Vancouver a number of times this season and on his most recent stint in the NHL, he managed to score his first career goal, which came on January 29th against the Nashville Predators.
Karlsson has appeared in nine games for Vancouver, registering one goal and 17 games for Abbotsford where he's put up 18 points (12 goals, six assists).
The Eksjo, Sweden native is not expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Vancouver Canucks host the Toronto Maple Leafs at Rogers Arena, with puck drop just after 4 pm PT.
