The Vancouver Canucks, Jim Rutherford, and Patrik Allvin have made it clear lately: the team is open for business ahead of the NHL trade deadline.

Following a long rumoured trade of J.T Miller and the subsequent trade for and signing of Marcus Pettersson, Allvin and Rutherford will still look for opportunities to improve the Canucks, for this season and the future.
But one name rumoured to be likely to move may be staying put in Vancouver if TSN's most recent trade bait list is to be believed.

Vancouver Canucks to retain longest serving player?

One year removed from the best season of his career, Brock Boeser is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
While the forward has been widely expected to be available via trade, recent moves by the Vancouver Canucks appear to have insiders rethinking the team's plans with their longest tenured player and best pure goal scorer.
With significant changes recently being made up front and on the back end, the Canucks may see more value in keeping Boeser for a playoff push than whatever they may receive in a trade.
Currently the Canucks hold the second wild card position with a two point lead over Calgary.

Carson Soucy becomes Vancouver Canucks top target

While Boeser's name has disappeared from the trade list amidst recent moves in Vancouver and around the league, the Canucks are still represented.
TSN's #3 overall trade target is defenceman Carson Soucy, who in recent days has found himself on the shopping block.
With exactly one month to the trade deadline, the Vancouver Canucks likely will have more up their sleeve.
