The Vancouver Canucks organization has landed some experience after acquiring a nine-year NHL veteran on Saturday evening.

Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks were very quiet at the National Hockey League's trade deadline on Friday, not making a single move and opting to stand pat with their current roster in hopes of making it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
While the National Hockey League's trade deadline has passed, down in the American Hockey League, theirs isn't until Friday, giving the Vancouver Canucks some time to get a deal or two done to beef up Abbotsford for a playoff push.

Abbotsford Canucks acquire 300+ game NHL veteran from Syracuse

In a post on social media on Saturday night, the Abbotsford Canucks announced that they've acquired former Edmonton Oilers forward Jujhar Khaira from the Syracuse Crunch in exchange for future considerations.
"Abbotsford Canucks General Manager, Ryan Johnson, announced today that the club has acquired forward Jujhar Khaira from the Syracuse Crunch in exchange for future considerations." the team said.

Khaira, 30, has appeared in 18 games this season with the Syracuse Crunch, who he signed with as free agent back in September, putting up nine points (three goals, six assists), 19 penalty minutes and is a minus-eight.
The Surrey, British Columbia native brings 337 games of National Hockey League experience to the Abbotsford Canucks after suiting up for the Edmonton Oilers, Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild between the 2015-16 and 2023-24 seasons.
Abbotsford is currently occupying a Calder Cup Playoff position by sitting in sixth place in the Pacific Division with a record of 29-23-3 through 55 games with 17 contests remaining in the regular season.
Khaira will likely make his Abbotsford Canucks debut on Tuesday night as the club welcomes the Bakersfield Condors (Edmonton's AHL affiliate) to town for a 7 pm PT puck drop.
