Fortunately for the Canucks and head coach Rick Tocchet, they were able to squeak out their first win of the season in overtime, but still, it is clear the lines are not finalized. The Canucks are now 1-1-2 on the season and have decided to keep in their recently brought up a young d-man Erik Brannstrom who started the season with the Abbottsford Canucks.

(Third pair mixed and matched)
The most notable name to be seen back in the playing roster is 27-year-old forward Daniel Sprong. After scoring the first goal of the season for the Vancouver Canucks and seemingly like he was going to be a main stay all year long for Tocc, he was ultimately scratched the last consecutive games.
Now, he has a chance to get back into the lineup and showcase the defense he has been working on with assistant coach Adam Foote, which seemed to be the main reason for his absence
As seen above, we do not have confirmation on the third defensive pairing, but from how they played last game, you can fully expect Brannstrom and big-man Vincent Desharnais to be back in the lineup this evening (October 19th).
