The Vancouver Canucks have been playing some great hockey of late and as a result of that, have seen their odds of making the Stanley Cup Playoffs rise.

Despite losing Thatcher Demko to an injury during the first period last night, the Vancouver Canucks were able to pull out a 2-1 win over Toronto Maple Leafs, and things are starting to look up for Rick Tocchet's group.

Vancouver Canucks' Stanley Cup Playoff odds take massive jump

With both of Sunday's games now over, the National Hockey League has officially begun their 12-day break for the 4 Nations Face-Off and the Vancouver Canucks are currently in a Stanley Cup Playoff spot.
Thanks to their win over the Toronto Maple Leafs last night, combined with Calgary's overtime loss to the Seattle Kraken, the Vancouver Canucks have a three-point lead on the Flames for the second wild card spot in the Western Conference.
According to MoneyPuck.com, the Vancouver Canucks now have a 65 percent chance of clinching a spot in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, which is a 15 percent jump from Friday morning, where they had 50 percent odds.
MoneyPuck.com also has the Vancouver Canucks at an 18.8 percent chance of making it to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and a 6.5 percent chance of going to the Western Conference Final for the first time since 2011.
As mentioned, the Vancouver Canucks have been playing some great hockey lately and since they traded J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers, on January 31st, the Vancouver Canucks have a record of 3-1-1, with three wins in a row, along with six wins in their last eight games.
The Vancouver Canucks will be back in action on Saturday, January 22nd as they take on the Vegas Golden Knights in Sin City to kick off a five-game road trip, before returning to Rogers Arena on March 5th.
