Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller says the team needs to be better following blowout loss to the New Jersey Devils.

Halloween eve was a spooky night for the Vancouver Canucks as they fell to the New Jersey Devils by a score of 6 to 0. Devils captain Nico Hischier scored his league-leading 10th goal of the season, while former Vancouver Canucks goaltender Jacob Markstrom made 20 saves to record the shutout.

Understandably, there's was plenty of frustration to go around in the Vancouver Canucks' dressing room following the game, including from head coach Rick Tocchet, who wasn't happy with his team's coverage on odd-man rushes.

J.T. Miller says Vancouver Canucks need to be better

Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller shared his frustration when speaking with the media following the game. Miller said that the Canucks make it way too easy for the other team and that they have yet to play a full 60 minutes to find their identity.

"We make it way too easy on the other team," Miller said "I think (there's) not enough 'F you' in our game."

He added, "We haven't played 60 minutes to our identity yet this year,"

Miller also spoke about Conor Garland stepping up and trying to spark his team by dropping the mitts with New Jersey Devils forward Erik Haula. Miller said that Garland did a great job in the fight and that he would've thought the team would've been fired up and played a bit better after the tilt.

"(Garland) does an unbelievable job in that scrap, that was a hell of a fight," Miller said. "You'd think maybe we'd play a little better after that ... That sucks. A guy gets punched in the head for you, and you think maybe that would light (a fire under) the team."

Miller and the Vancouver Canucks will look to bounce back on Saturday night against the San Jose Sharks on Hockey Night in Canada.
