BREAKING | Official Announcement from the NHL: announcing the Selke Trophy finalists
It's the time of the year when the annual awards finalists are revealed. The NHL had announced today as the date when they'd be revealing the finalist for the best defensive forward award, the Selke Trophy.
While some expected Elias Pettersson to have his name out there, it's actually Patrice Bergeron, Nico Hischier, and Mitch Marner who'll be up for the award.
Here's the formal announcement the league made:
'Bergeron, Hischier, Marner named Selke Trophy finalists''
The NHL will be announcing the award winners on June 26th. While Pettersson isn't a finalist for the award, journalists have already confirmed that we'd be hearing his name once the ballots are revealed.
