The Columbus Blue Jackets believed this season they would have been a Stanley Cup team after signing top free agent Johnny Gaudreau in free agency this past summer.
Unfortunately, they won't even be a playoff team and will no doubt make plenty of changes. Including today's announcement that the Blue Jackets have made goaltender Joonas Korpisalo a healthy scratch for trade purposes.
The 28-year-old is 11-11-3 this season with a 3.17 goals against average and a .913 save percentage. Korpisalo is a pending UFA currently making $1.3 million dollars.
