With the trade deadline less than a week away, it looks like Patrik Allvin is trying to get ahead of the curve and is reportedly working on a couple of deals.

The Vancouver Canucks have a few pieces to keep an eye on leading up to the trade deadline with the club open to moving Brock Boeser, along with Carson Soucy being made available, it could shape up to be a busy week for General Manager Patrik Allvin.

Vancouver Canucks reportedly working on pair of trades

In a post on X on Saturday, Jason Brough of Halford and Brough on Sportsnet 650 radio shared that sources have told him that the Vancouver Canucks are currently working on a couple of trades.
"Not a surprise given it's, you know, trade deadline week, but my many, many sources are telling me the Canucks are working on a couple of deals. They like to get their work done before the deadline so don't be shocked if we have stuff to discuss Monday." Brough said.
It's possible that one of those deals that Jason Brough is referring to may involve pending unrestricted free agent forward Brock Boeser, who could end up being moved ahead of March 7th, with all options still on the table - including a contract extension, which seems unlikely at this point.
During the Saturday Headlines segment on Hockey Night in Canada last night, Elliotte Friedman shared that the Vancouver Canucks are looking to add a forward to their roster, so it's possible that could also be one of the reported deals being worked on.
"The Canucks have a situation where they're looking to add to their forward group, whether it's now or later," Friedman said.

Along with the aforementioned Brock Boeser and Carson Soucy, the Vancouver Canucks have a couple of other pieces that they could opt to move ahead of March 7th - Pius Suter and Derek Forbort, both of whom are unrestricted free agents this summer.
Pius Suter set a new career-high in goals during last night's loss in Seattle and could be a good depth piece for a contending team, which may lead to a nice return for Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks.
Stay tuned to Canucks Daily as we'll have full coverage of the National Hockey League's trade deadline on Friday, along with any deals, news and rumors involving the Vancouver Canucks.
