Deja Vu all over again

Here we go again.

2 goal leads evaporate like water in the Sahara around here lately.

All it took was 2:41 of the third period for a 3-1 game to be tied at 3. Thatcher Demko was under worked for much of the game, perhaps contributing to the sudden gate opening, but it also can't be overstated what not playing defence will do for a team.

Knotted at 3 the game went to OT, Demko made a big game save on Filip Forsberg, kicking the rebound to the corner & allowing his team to change after being caught on ice for an extended period.

Shortly after Bo Horvat let a shot fly off the mask of Juuse Saros the Overtime session wound down, setting the table for the shootout.

EP40 was Vancouver's first shooter, narrowly missing his 'Forsberg' attempt as the puck went off the toe of his stick. It was scoreless until Ryan Johansen scored in his backyard to make it 1-0 Nashville in Round 2.

Captain Bo Horvat was set with the task to tie it, only to over-skate the puck & leave an extra point on the board against a conference rival. It's a tragic comedy, with the stars of the show collecting big paycheques to play 60 minute games. I can't find 'em.

That makes 5 multi goal leads blown & 8 points lost in 14 games played. Three times they've had a 2 goal cushion, twice a 3 goal cushion, all 5 times coming out on the losing end. When will this team learn that an NHL game is 60 minutes long, because tonight 167 seconds cost this team 2 points.

Unacceptable.
