Just like that, with a first period tally Jonathan Tanner Miller is on a 50 Goal scoring pace.
He did it converting off of a beautiful play started by Bo Horvat, before 'JT' finished a Nils Hoglander rebound, allowing all 3 men to record a point. For a player who is consistently under scrutiny after signing a new 7 Year, 56 Million dollar deal that kicks in in July, he is scorching hot & rounding out his defensive game to boot.
The last time a Canuck scored 50 you ask?
Well, that would be the Russian Rocket Pavel Bure back in 1997-98, the year before he departed for Florida. Nevermind that whole topic, here's a Pavel highlight reel to distract you instead.
The Canucks came out flying & hold a 3-0 lead after 20 mins, with goals from Miller, the red hot Andrei Kuzmenko & Ilya Mikheyev who opened the scoring. The task now is getting this lead to the 60 minute mark & turning it into another 2 points.
For me, I'll keep an eye on J.T. Miller 's pace, until he hits 25 goals in 40ish games, I don't give 50 Goals a lot of stock, do you?
