As the Montreal Canadiens begin a quick two-game road trip on Tuesday night, they'll be doing so without the services of rookie forward Emil Heineman.

Emil Heineman has been solid for the Montreal Canadiens this season, forming one of the best fourth lines in the entire National Hockey League alongside Jake Evans and Joel Armia, both of whom are set to be unrestricted free agents this summer.

The 23-year-old has been one of the best rookies in the league this season as well, sitting seventh in rookie points in the NHL with 17 (ten goals, seven assists) in 41 games.

For the next month, the Canadiens won't have Emil Heineman in the lineup after the team shared some frightening news in a social media post today.

Emil Heineman out 3-to-4 weeks with upper-body injury after being hit by a vehicle

The Montreal Canadiens took to social media on Tuesday morning to share that Emil Heineman was hit by a vehicle as a pedestrian yesterday in Salt Lake City and is set to miss three-to-four weeks with an upper-body injury.

"Emil Heineman was involved in a traffic accident yesterday as a pedestrian. Heineman sustained an upper-body injury and will be out 3-4 weeks." the Canadiens announced.

Thankfully for Emil Heineman, his injuries aren't considered serious according to an article from Swedish outlet Aftonbladet and things could've been a lot worse.

Canadiens fans took to X following the news to share their support and send well wishes to the rookie forward.

Everyone here at Canucks Daily would like to wish Emil Heineman a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the ice very soon!
