Goaltender comparison for tonight's matchup
Thatcher Demko will stand between the red pipes in tonight's tilt against the Golden Knights.
He will face
Logan Thompson in tonight's rendez-vous, the 25-year-old has been untreatable since the season debut. Alongside Matty Beniers, they represent up to this day the two best candidates at the Calder.
In 14 starts, Thompson has a 11-3-0 record, 0.925 save percentage and 2.3 goals against average. He has completely shut the door on two occasions, which gives him the second rank for shutouts in the NHL so far.
Demko hasn't been as stellar as expected so far this season, he's had problems keeping his team in front once they had the lead, the defensive play for the Vancouver formation also carries part of the blame on this one.
Thatcher has been in the blue paint on 13 occasions so far this season, came out ahead only twice. He shows a 3.87 goal against average and a 0.883 save percentage. Demko had shown real promise last year and in the bubble, which led to the departure of
Jacob Markstrom.
Ahead of tonight's game, are you confident that Demko will take his game back to where it was?
