LATEST | Canucks are looking to add muscle and not everyone is going to like it
The Canucks are entering this off-season as buyers (with no money yet) and the latest rumblings will surely please those of you who complained that the Canucks did have enough toughness or even enough local talent.
Rick Dhaliwal opened up on the possibility that the Canucks could be looking to add the soon-to-be UFA, and East Vancouver native, Milan Lucic. Yes, the same Lucic that won the cup with the Bruins in 2011.
A former 30-goal-scorer, Lucic is nowhere near that form and productivity, but it was suggested that he'd be brought in as a role player and a low-cost contract.
Milan Lucic was an important piece of the Bruins Cup run back in 2011, he's traveled quite a bit since then as he went from the Bruins to the Kings, then the Oilers, and ended up with the Flames. The 6'3'' and 231 pounds forward collected 40 points over the last two seasons, during which he played 159 games.
His he really the kind of addition the Canucks need? Don't you think Dakota Joshua could be described as a modern version of Lucic?
