Things haven't been going well for the Pittsburgh Penguins and captain Sidney Crosby who's been showing his frustration a lot lately The Penguins are currently 5th in the Metropolitan Division with a 26-17-9 record and if the playoffs started today the Penguins wouldn't be in them.
Crosby had an altercation last game with Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras, that frustration must have carried over to Saturday night's game vs the Los Angeles Kings.
In the 3rd period, with the Kings up 5-0 Sidney Crosby was given a ten-minute and a game misconduct following an altercation with Mikey Anderson.
Crosby clearly wasn't happy with the officials and was pissed off with the score as he proceeded to cross-check Anderson before saying something to the officials who ended Crosby's night early.
Crosby didn't stop there and took a subtle shot at the NHL in his post-game-interview:
» Can I really say what I think anyway?»
Although Crosby didn't take a direct shot at the NHL, what he said pretty much had the same impact and he'll most likely hear from it. What he said must have thrown off the referee quite a bit, could the NHL intervene and fine Crosby?
