Quinn Hughes has been exceptional ever since the Canucks selected him in 2018. He's blossomed into an elite two-way defender and this year he's been qualified as a record-breaker.
Hughes became the fastest defenseman to reach 200 assists surpassing Brian Leetch, he then became the first defenseman to record back-to-back 60 assists seasons since Raymond Bourque and Paul Coffey nonetheless. He's now beaten another record:

Quinn Hughes has now set the record for most assists by a #Canucks defenceman in a single season with 61, surpassing the total of 60 he set last season.»
The 23-year-old has been nothing short of spectacular this season. With the 2 assists he racked up last night he's now up to 67 points in 66 games. He now ranks 3rd amongst the league's defensemen in scoring trailing only behind Josh Morrissey (69) and Erik Karlsson (87).
