LATEST | Tocchet gives a reassuring update on Demko and tonight's starter
The Vancouver Canucks had quite the scare at practice when Demko left only 20 mins into practice.
Tocchet reassured everyone today when he stated that it was only a minor setback and that Demko was only out for a maintenance day:
"Tocchet confirms Demko is dealing with a groin issue. Calling his absence today a maintenance day."
Thatcher Demko has been out of service for quite a while. He was injured all the way back in early December and is suspected to backup Collin Delia any day now.
Though it appears that Tocchet gave Arturs Silovs the nod yet again. The youngster showed great things in his first NHL start and with a fringe Flyers' lineup we could witness history if he were to capture his first career win.
If Silovs were to get his first career win tonight, it would take the Canucks one step further from Connor Bedard. Would you rather the Canucks keep losing to increase the Bedard odds, or for the netminder to get a confidence boost before heading back in Abbotsford for the playoffs?
