The Toronto Maple Leafs are usually a quiet team this time of year, but made a statement when they acquired Ryan O'Reilly from the St. Louis Blues last week.
This was also the biggest acquisition Maple Leafs General Manager Kyle Dubas has made since joining the Leafs organization.
During Tuesday night's game in the KeyBank Center between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres, Ryan O'Reilly would score his first goal as a Toronto Maple Leafs.
That wasn't enough for O'Reilly as he would score two more to get his first hat trick for Leafs nation.
I think that's for all those who made jokes that the Leafs overpaid. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't but the Leafs are doing everything they can not to be a early exit in this year's playoffs.
