It's no secret that Horvat's goal-scoring has increased a ton over the last two years, and he's recently revealed what he changed to do so.

It was revealed that he'd been working with NHL Legend Adam Oates over the last year to develop his game and take it to the next level. Though Horvat most recently announced a subtler change to his game and it's appearing to be game-changing for him.

Over the summer, Horvat met with a Bauer rep who showed him the stick that has been used by Connor Bedard, the projected 1st overall pick in the next draft. The stick he uses carries a 70 flex, which allows for really quick releases.

Horvat on his end had previously been using high 90's in flex in the earlier stages of his career and he's tried various options of stick and flex over the summer in order to find his best fit. Safe to say that this new fit definitely allows him to find the back of the net on a more regular basis.

Horvat is now only 7 goals short of his career-high 31 goals he scored in the 2021-2022 season, thing is, he still has 49 games to get there. How many can he score?
