As team Canada and USA gear up to face-of against one another in a highly anticipated rematch in the 4 Nations Face-Off final, superstar forward Nathan MacKinnon sends a strong message to their biggest rivals.
After team Canada forward Brandon Hagel confirmed that the fights that kicked off the USA and Canada matchup on last Saturday were pre-meditated by the USA team, specifically Matthew Tkachuk, the rematch in the final is expected to have just as much fireworks, if not more.
Nathan MacKinnon Sends Message to USA ahead of highly anticipated final
After losing to USA and forcing an elimination game against Finland in order to try and make it to the final to get their hands on a rematch with their biggest rivals, they ultimately secured their with a 5-3 win on Monday.
Finland made a hard push in the dying minutes of the game, scoring 3 goals but most notably marked by the efforts of Mikael Granlund, who netted in less than a minute apart from one another.

The momentum was halted by no other than Captain Canada Sidney Crosby as he laid a massive hit and scoring the empty net goal to solidify their ticket to the finals against USA.

Now that they have their opportunity to win gold and best USA, Nathan MacKinnon sent a strong message to the Americans, saying that they can beat them if they just play a little better.
Nathan MacKinnon, on a Canada-USA rematch in the #4Nations final: "We feel like we can beat those guys and we plan on playing a little better Thursday."
