Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes has missed three games due to an injury and we now know what that ailment is that's been keeping him out of the lineup.

The Vancouver Canucks made a quick trip down to Northern California on Thursday night to take on the San Jose Sharks for their third game in a row without Quinn Hughes, but managed to pull out a 2-1 win in overtime.

Quinn Hughes' injury revealed by Vancouver Canucks reporter

During last Friday's contest in Dallas, Quinn Hughes showed obvious signs of discomfort on the ice and even left the game briefly, but that was the last time Vancouver Canucks fans have seen their captain in action.
Hughes took the warm-up during last Sunday's game against the Detroit Red Wings, but ultimately was made a late scratch.
On Thursday, David Quadrelli of Canucks Army shared that he's hearing Quinn Hughes is dealing with an injury to his oblique, which are muscles on the at the sides of your abdomen over the ribcage.
"In other news, can confirm that it's an oblique injury ailing #Canucks captain Quinn Hughes." Quadrelli said.
Not only is there concern from a Vancouver Canucks' point of view, Team USA is still waiting for word on whether or not he'll be able to participate at the 4 Nations Face-Off beginning next week in Montreal.
The Canucks are going to be working with Quinn Hughes on if he'll be participating, but the captain will have the final say, something General Manager Patrik Allvin echoed yesterday.
"Quinn is extremely professional. He knows his body, and what he can do or not do, so I trust him a lot. We're supporting him in his position." Allvin said.
Vancouver is set to host the Toronto Maple Leafs at Rogers Arena tomorrow night for their final game before the 4 Nations Face-Off break and the team is hoping that Quinn Hughes will be able to suit up.
