Oilers Flasher girl's mom speaks her mind on daughters new found fame
Kate Flynn, or also well known as the infamous Edmonton Oilers Flasher girl, has reached a new level of fame in her life, and her mother has a surprising reaction to it.
During the Edmonton Oilers playoff run last season, Flynn admitting to attending a game and indulging in a few too many alcoholic beverages, which gave her a "life changing" idea... to flash the Oilers crowd. With Oilers going on to win the game, the fanbase is coining Flynn as a good luck charm and she has gone absolutely viral online.
Her biggest opportunity came when she signed a contract with Playboy magazine and also appearing on many podcasts and other social media platforms. Despite the new found fame, Kait recently revealed what her parents thought of the sudden rise to fame.
Mother of Oilers Flasher Girl Reacts
After her video went viral on Twitter, Kait admits that she phoned her parents right away to update them on the situation.
Flynn said that she called her mother to see if she could "debrief dad that my t*** are on the internet. There [were] people I made phone calls to before they got to see my t***."
She admitted that she has flashed her self may times before and never thought anything of it, just this time there were perks to follow.
"I've flashed a million times, if we're being honest," she told Bristowe. "It's just something I do... I didn't think twice about it."
Recalling her mother's reaction, Flynn told Kaitlyn Bristowe: "Mom said, 'They're just t***. We'll deal with it. They'll go away. It can't be that bad.' And then it was like in the New York Post the next day... It was actually in the printed copy of the New York Post."
Now with 70k followers on social media and a full bank account, she seems to be staying humble but also embracing her new found fame.
