LATEST | Maple Leafs prospect knocked out cold during Development Camp scrimmage
A scary scene took place during the Toronto Maple Leafs' Development Camp scrimmage on Saturday morning.
2020 second-round pick Roni Hirvonen had the puck in the neutral zone and took an open ice hit from Development Camp invitee Nolan Dillingham, who played for the Ontario Hockey League's Sarnia Sting last season.
Hirvonen laid motionless on the ice for nearly a minute, with the team's training staff attending to him, before getting up under his own power and leaving for the dressing room.
After the scrimmage, Toronto Maple Leafs assistant general manager Hayley Wickenheiser told reporters that Hirvonen has suffered a concussion and will need some time to recover. She went on to say that she thinks Dillingham's hit was clean.
Do you think Dillingham's hit on Hirvonen was clean? Let us know your thoughts in the poll below.
